Taking Care of people, no matter what.

At My Block My Hood My City, we empower young people by exposing them to new opportunities through programs focused on exploration, education, and growth. Separately, our Block Clubs unite neighbors to strengthen communities, fostering safer, more connected environments. We believe in supporting everyone—regardless of their circumstances—through tailored initiatives that uplift both youth and communities across Chicago.

Donate to our initiatives to help us continue making a meaningful impact through our youth programs and community-driven Block Clubs.

The Explorers program empowers youth from Chicago’s divested neighborhoods to discover the world beyond their blocks. Through enriching experiences in education, the arts, cuisine, and recreation, we provide opportunities for growth, exploration, and inspiration. we’ve taken young people to hundreds of sites across the city and around the globe, expanding their horizons and opening doors to new possibilities.

setting everyone up for success.

My Block My Hood My City is here to start the conversations that cultivate a deeper connection to our communities and the people within them in order to ensure everyone has what they need to succeed. We work tirelessly to empower our neighbors with knowledge and inspire them with opportunity so they can take positive action with confidence, creating a new world of possibilities for themselves and their families - and ultimately, the block, the hood, and the city, too.

Our volunteering efforts.

We believe that the city reflects who we are, and we have a responsibility to what it is. Therefore we host multiple volunteer events per month through our Community Development Initiatives. We support Chicago communities by cleaning alleys, mowing lawns, shoveling for seniors, and more.
